Syslog


The syslog integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] allows you to deliver notifications from Home Assistant to the local syslog.

To enable syslog notifications in your installation, add the following to your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. It lists the integrations to be loaded and their specific configurations. In some cases, the configuration needs to be edited manually directly in the configuration.yaml file. Configuration Variables

name string (Optional, default: notify)

Setting the optional parameter name allows multiple notifiers to be created. The notifier will bind to the service notify.NOTIFIER_NAME.

facility string (Optional, default: syslog)

Facility according to RFC 3164 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3164). Check the table below for entries.

option string (Optional, default: pid)

Log option. Check the table below for entries.

priority string (Optional, default: info)

Priority of the messages. Check the table below for entries.

The table contains values to use in your configuration.yaml file.
